Body lift and fan shroud

So first off let me say I only have a 1" body lift and never had problems till recently when I replaced my motor mounts. Everything was fine on and off road, but just the other day I took it out on some trails for the first time since I replaced the motor mounts. What I found out was when I hit a good bump or on a section where I am really flexing that the fan starts clipping the shroud. Assuming the bottom.

I noticed right away when I replaced my motor mounts that the engine Sat a bit higher. Not sure if because it is new and not compressed like the old one. So what I am thinking of doing is making a radiator drop bracket similar to the 4crawler one.. Before I do spend time on that I wanted to know if anybody else has any ideas or has something similar happen replacing motor mounts, also the previous owner did not have a shroud on. I went out and got one so I dont want to remove it especially since I live in the hotter part of so cal and frequent the desert quite often.

Relocating your radiator to accommodate the body lift isn't difficult. I used some metal plumbing strap when I installed my 2" body lift and have had no problems with it.

Would that be strong enough to hold it off road? I was going to make one out of a strip of 1" flat bar. I know last time I took it off I think 2 out of 4 holes had studs in them and the other two had holes for bolts. Got any pictures?

I'm Getting Around To It
I removed my radiator in my 95 and drilled two new holes 2" higher than the two lower holes (I have a 2" body lift) for the lower bolts to pass through. For the upper bolts, since there isn't enough metal 2" higher to drill into, I used a couple of flat washers to increase the surface holding area of the top bolts and it "captures" the top side edges of the radiator.

It's been working like that for years. And, yes, both Ryan and I wheel the cr@p out of our rigs.
