Does anyone know how to locate the correct brake lamp wire to connect a brake controller into my 98 Jeep TJ. Thanks for the help.

Not sure on the 98 but on a 2003 Rubicon it was a plug and play connector on the passenger side tail light. It is difficult to get in there because of the emissions stuff behind the tail light. Hope this helps. Are you trying to install a flat four plug or a 7 way plug?

The questions I had is for the wiring the brake controller. The wiring diagram shows to tap the red wire on the brake controller into the brake lamp wire by the brake pedal. I know how to do everything else, just not sure what wire to tap into. Just seeing if any one has done similar.

look up under the dash, somewhere on the brake pedal you will see a switch. Useing a test light you will find one wire hot all the time. and one that will come on when you push the brake pedal. That isthe one you want to "tap" into.
