Brakes

Thinking of doing my brakes while getting some other maintenance on my Gen 3. Anyone rec a kit? There appears to be some well-priced kits on Amazon for the Monty. Callahan and Power Stop seem to be popular options. Does anyone have experience with either?

TIA for any info.

Personally on my gen I and gen II, I've had good luck with either the OEM pads (last a long, long time) as well as Napa's premium top of the line pads (not their less expensive pads).

i've been far less impressed (read 'disappointed') with the premium pads (raybestos?) sold at either Pep Boys or O'Reilly's.

I've heard good things about greenstuff pads before. Anyone rec rotors too? I have enough rotor left on mine but they are warped, thought I would go ahead and replace since I know that have around 50k.

I drive in the mountains a lot, at highway speeds, I thought some vented rotors might help this heavy beast.

I got a quote the other day from EBC for my 1989 Dodge Raider. Here is the catch. I told Adrian from EBC that I was going to upgrade my front brakes to the Gen II brakes from a 1992 Montero. He quoted me rotors and YellowStuff brake pads. I will have him re-quote this for me and add the GreenStuff pads as that would be one step up from OEM and YellowStuff would be really aggressive for off-roading.
