i was wondering if it would be possible to build a solid, functional, and good looking expedition trailer starting with a m105 military trailer without welding. i would be using wood and whatever kind of sealant would work best.

Check out Schutt Industries trailer. This rivet system is really expensive but they use it for military purposes. I riveted most of my shell and used 3M VHB tape to hold the aluminum to the frame. It's rigid and strong as can be. Only welding was fender well wings.

This cottage was built under the tarp on a M101a2
With a 105 it will be a bit bigger. As others have said the 105 is heavy, I have seen models with an axle swap and electric brakes
that lowered the trailer and made it more user friendly.

Mark, that's really cool. Not something you see everyday. I dig people that think outside the box.

Oh hell no impossible, never work, just not enough torsional ridgidity, how on earth would it ever stay together over ruff roads..

Concidering wooden trailers appeared shortly after the wheel, its a non issue !
