Up for sale is a fully loaded 2008 Toyota 4Runner 4.7L V8 Limited Trim with 4x4, 202,xxx miles for $17000 OBO. This has been my daily for the last 3 years and has been super reliable. This is not a mall crawler. I have taken it out almost every weekend during school, lived in it for an internship in Utah, done a slow road trip from SoCal to PNW, explored the Eastern Sierras, and I have just recently came back from an extended trip through Yosemite, Tahoe, and Big Sur. The trips are primarily for rock climbing and hiking, not rock crawling with the truck. I would not hesitate to take it on a trip to Alaska/BC if borders were open.
Why am I selling? After living out of the truck the last 5-6 weeks while working on a farm, my wife and I are deciding to get a camper van instead! I would be willing to trade and add cash if necessary for the right high roof camper van, empty or converted or a class B RV.
Add-ons that I have added:
- recreationally built sleeping platform + drawer system; I still have original seats if buyer would like them
- Built Right UCAs from San Diego Truck Shop
- aftermarket HID low beam and high beam; very bright on trails at night
- 33” Toyo Open Country A/T tires
Add-ons from previous owner/factory
- Full CBI armor
- CBI front bumper with center grill guard/headlight protection
- CBI rear bumper with swing away tire carrier, single jerry van holder, hi-lift mount
- CBI weld-on rock sliders
- Icon stage 4 suspension
- PIAA fog lights/Bosch additional headlights
- JVC touchscreen sound system with Bluetooth, professionally installed with amp; *subwoofer already sold*
- Viper Alarm System
- 17” Mojave Teflon wheels
- WeatherTech mats for all seats and trunk
- center differential locker, A-trac
- cabin ports for electrical devices
- sunroof, leather seats, heated seats
- factory roof rack with crossbars
Pros:
- turn key and ready to go
- receipts for all services from myself and previous owner kept in folder
- cold A/C, warm heater and seats
- no leaks
- minimal rust; primarily used in Las Vegas, SoCal, and Arizona
Cons:
- Carfax indicates that previous owner made insurance claim after wheels studs were over-torqued and he lost a wheel on the road; no collision, no airbag deployment, no body damage
- exterior paint has some blemishes/rock chips from highway miles
- two small rock chips on windshield; repaired using mobile windshield services to prevent any further spread
- previous owner plasti-dipped vehicle grey, so there are small pieces of plastidip in hard to reach crevices
- wear on leather seats
- passenger mirror mounting cracked; however mirror still stays on at high winds on freeway
All in all, it is still a very reliable vehicle for 13 years old and I’m sure you’ll have plenty of adventures to share! Please don’t hesitate to email or text (702) 682-4421 for any further questions. Vehicle is currently Alhambra, CA.
