Hey Toyota People,
I have a '14 silverado Z71 that does just fine but when I bought it new it was simply because it was a cheaper than a Tundra. They had just swapped body styles and weren't budging on new prices and used Tundras were more than my new silverado so i just went that direction. My truck is fine but I'm ready to get out of the payment and can still get about what i put down back out of my truck - meaning i essentially leased it with a low payment for 20 months.
With all that being said I'm considering a tundra and the ballpark of 20k, which means i can afford some crew max 4x4s that have over 100k miles. What do I need to look out for on these trucks (07 + tundras with 5.7L) and how many miles is reasonable to expect on these things? What major maintenance items, etc do i need to consider at higher mileages? I'm all for doing preventative maintenance but i just don't know exactly what to expect.
Thanks in advance for your help.
