Camping/Motorcycle Trailer Build

Long time lurker, First time trailer builder, This is just going to be a rebuild and modification of an old motorcycle trailer that was given to me as a gift, It started life as a motorcycle trailer back in 1972 when my Grandfather bought it from the local dealer for my dad along with a 1970 Honda CB100. :Wow1: which he still has, :Wow1: My plans are to build a trailer I can build that is light enough to tow behind my Suzuki Samurai, (worst tow rig ever) and has to haul 2 motorcycles and around 250 pounds of gear. Just because the only time I really ride my XR200 is on long weekends is the same weekend I camp :sombrero: Any way, We got it off a sandy river bottom and started work disassembling and here is the starting picture, sorry it was from a cell phone

Then just for the heck of it all, here is a flex pic

Then after a nice long Saturday, a sanding wheel, and some time wasting fluid :coffeedrink: I got to work sanding all of the river rot off and got it down to bear metal, no picture of it sanded, It got dark and I went home :sombrero:

Any questions just ask

Until next time,

Got everything sanded down, and ready for primer in the morning, :wings: I have decieded to extend the deck section just for the fact that the track system is shot, and they are too short for the 04 YZ250F, so, back to the drawing board on that, and to add there will be a nice vintage tractor seat on the rear section, for comfort :sombrero:
