I have been building up a trailer over the past few months. I want a trailer I can use with the family camping and with buddies mountain biking It’s a work in progress.
Here is the backstory.
To start I got a roof top tent for a ridiculous deal. One night I was doing a few different searches on marketplace and found a roof top tent that looked good enough and The price was low so I went and looked at it. Found it outside a thrift store and haggled the dealer down to $300 and waited on a friend with a pick up and off we went.
Once I got home I started researching and found that it had been recently recalled from Thule. I filled out the warranty claim and got in touch with Thule and 3 weeks later a brand new ten showed up at my front door!
After I got the tent I started looking for a trailer I could put It on since I didn’t want to put everything away when I went mountain biking and camping. I found a trailer that was made in Georgia in the 80’s. The company took truck beds and made trailers out of them. I can’t figure out what truck it came off of though.
i build a rack out of unistrut and mounted the tent. This is what I have so far. Hopefully I will be Updating the build often.
