Cam's overlandish trailer build

Hey guys I'm new here and wanted a place too kind of document my build, i have been lurking on the site for awhile checking out everyones cool builds and decided i might swell start my own. awhile ago i got given a old utility trailer that a friend had used too haul around his sleds but he hadn't used it in years and was getting overgrown in his backyard, i asked him what he was doing with it and he said if i can get it out i can have it so i filled the tires and dragged it home. this trailer has too be the scariest thing i have ever towed behind my truck, no lights, the tires were going flat basically as fast as i put air in them, it was covered in dirt and debris that was flying off down the street, and was dog walking behind the truck so i knew i had a lot of work ahead of me. anyways i plan on building a trailer that i can take anywhere i can get my truck into and camp inside it, so the plan will be too address all the "fabrication" someone has previously done and then lift it, and build up some sides too mount a canopy on top of so i stay dry and any other comforts i think of along the way. so all in all nothing crazy just a budget offload "camper"

so this is the trailer minus the leaking 14" tires it came on

and these are a few of the issues i need too start with

and the one nice thing that came with it other than the price of free was a steel tool box, and i pulled the axel out too get ready for a spring over lift and start taking care of some of its gremlins

thats where i stopped tonight just cause it was way too hot in the shop and i needed a nice cold shower beer, anyways hope you guys enjoy my build

I'm glad you made it home safe!

How large is the deck and how are you planning to attach the sides you want to install?

the trailer is 5'x8' give or take a few inches, and i will be making a steel frame from angle iron and then either filling with plywood or bolt aluminum sheet and insulate it. i haven't quite decided yet and it will depend what i can get my hands on as i am on a pretty tight budget
