Canoeing Henrys Fork

Michelle and I took out daughters up to Island Park for an afternoon of canoeing on the famous Henrys Fork of the Snake River in Island Park, Idaho.

The weather was perfect, the water cool, and the company (as always) wonderful.

Michelle and I took one canoe and put the girls in another for the short 3 hr trip.

Along the way, we were treated to breathtaking views of Sawtelle Peak, and nature at its finest. We saw a cabin that just semed to us like the perfect little place on the river.

In fact, there was a Cow Moose standing right in the middle of the river watching all the rafts, canoes, and kayaks passing her by. It was a really neat moment!

On the way home, we were blessed with a fantastic sunset.

Enjoy the pics!

Looks like a great time! Did you put in just below Big Springs and come out at Mac's Inn? I love that float it is a beautiful area :)

Another great area is to go down Box Canyon.
