You didn't miss it, because it's not there. To my knowledge, the only Canon that you can self check is the 1 series. You can send in the others and Canon can tell you.

If your using it as a reference for condition, it's generally accepted as a poor indicator when used independently. With a Nikon and another Canon at my house, I'd be surprised if I have over 1,000 shots on this over the last year that I've owned it.
