Cat back for JK

I have a 2008 2 dr JK and I am looking to buy a cat back system for it. I want a system that has a nice mellow sound and of course one that increases the Torque and Horsepower. I think I have narrowed the choices to MBRP with a muffler relocate or a magnaflow. Does anyone have either of these systems and could you please help me make up my mind.

I think you are probably wasting your money if you think you can pull out any more power out of the 3.8. Stick a flowmaster in there for sound and size and save your money.

The catbacks only jump the HP by about 2 or 3. Nothing at all pretty much.

A Cold Air Intake will do the same, but stay out of deep water with those.

A good way to get a little more jump out of your JK motor is to re-gear to 5.13's and get a chip mod. AEV and Superchips make a great plug n play tool that adjusts all the settings in the motor.

Nothing you do will show a noticeable change in power on a new jeep.(except a supercharger or turbo) A gear change will make the jeep feel more responsive but you will sacrifice gas mileage unless you match them to a taller tire.

I had a truck that I put magna flow exhaust on. Made a huge improvement, but it had over 100,000 miles on it. If it was new I’m sure I wouldn't have noticed it.

If you have to do it, go Magna flow.

MBRP is the only one that's shown improvement on a dyno. I think it's a waste and would just regear...
