center consoles?

I built a console for my F150 last year, it incorporated my CB and power inverter and gave me some more storage space. Now I am in the process of installing bucket seats and I am going to expand upon my original console, probably going to add cup holders, an arm rest and more storage. One thing I am considering is instead of adding more storage under the arm rest, putting in a cooler with a drain plug. Oh and I'm adding a laptop mount sooner or later and a subwoofer, nothing big, just enough to add some bump to my country music, lol.

So anyway, let's see what you guys have seen or have built for your rigs.

I built a locking center console for my CJ 7.

It's designed so the main lid holds the stereo lid down when locked.

I could store my carry gun inside and locked, yet have the stereo controls open and accessible.

I built a couple of jigs for my press, to bend the steel as needed:

I couldn't justify the cost of some of the security consoles on the market, and I had time to kill while the Herc-U-Liner dried on my flat fenders.

Back in my street rod days we built center consoles using the wood frame/jersey fabric/fiberglass resin method and it worked really well.
I plan to do something like that in the Suburban...unless my 13yr old convinces me to do wood and he wan't the cool retro look of wood grain in the rig.
