CENTRAL NEVADA HOT SPRING TOUR

In early July, my trusty hound dog, Dexter, and I decided to go and seek out some hot springs in the middle of Nevada. I don't know what I was thinking... "go out to the middle of Nevada, in the heat of the summer, and seek out some hot springs to soak in." We did it anyway and although it was hot outside, we had a blast.

Very nice report. I found out about the hot springs here in CO before Al Gore created the internet. You still had a piece of paper in hand in them days.

I'll send this link on to a friend that grew up in NV. he has a Dr. in geology and is a fun 'ol coot.

In you best Festus voice, "You know, you know John, you have some mighty fine lookin' mountains here in CO but there is all of them ********n trees in the way so you can't see 'em"

Nice looking pup too. Reminds me of my neighbors Lab, Molly. Biggest dingbat dog in the world and cared about nothing except chasing a ball.

I read through your post on WTW and it was a good read both times. Never really got a chance to get out this year (minor job change), so I am jealous for sure as you covered some of my favorite areas.

Very nice report. I've been adding hot springs to my list as I come across them in trip reports. I have seen those secret springs before on Facebook/Instagram but nobody ever wants to give up the location (which I am completely fine with- way too many previously great places have been ruined by getting coordinates posted on the internet). This encouraged me to do some research and finally find them on a map. They look like a gem.
