Chargeit Jump

I'm pretty big with power banks. 7500 mah will charge an average smart phone ~3 times. So that is pretty good. The benefit is being able to charge ones phone overnight in the tent. Then plug this puppy into the car during the day to charge.

Dunno about actually jumping a vehicle off with it. But 200 cranking amps sounds like the absolute bare minimum needed. However I have jumped a Yukon off of a 35 amp battery off of a garden tiller before (desperate times call for desperate measures).

Anti-Gravity makes a couple of units that are 11,000 and 12,000mAh. I bought a couple of the 12K units because that one comes with all the phone and laptop connectors you would probably ever need. Have used them regularly to start Dodge 5.7 Hemi, GMC Vortec 5.7, and BMW 4.0. Only had a problem once when it would not crank a GM 5.7, but the problem has not repeated itself. The Anti-Gravities are usually about $95 to $105 on Amazon, but the price bounces around. There are clones from other companies that look similar, but lower specs.

The one at Sam's is only $50, I think I'll have to jump on that. If it doesn't work well they have a real good return policy.

I have this unit:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D42AFS8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

bought it so I would have a back up to jump a dead battery. I've used it several times (4.0 liter Jeep) and am amazed how it works. They're all similar, they have all the adapters to charge your toys, you can also recharge them as you drive down the road thru your cig. lighter plug
Cheap insurance

I've got this one as well, used it to charge my cellphone and flashlight, but haven't had to jump a vehicle yet.

I got the $50 one I posted. I've used it to jump an SUV, and the gf and I took it camping and charged our phones that were both stone dead. I think it's worth the money, could get you out of a sticky situation some day and if it did, it would pay for itself.

I just bought one from Sams club as well, $50 bucks. Doesn't come with all the adapters some of the others have, but USB and jump cables are all I need. This is going to be a very portable little kit to take out when snowmobiling.

I'm thinking about building a two pin power connector to match my Battery Tender cables. Every vehicle I own has a set of ring terminal cables installed that can be accessed without removing any covers. The connector on the Charge-it is an EC5 two pin female connector available from RC model shops.

The lithium jump packs are amazing given their size. I also like that they hold their charge a lot longer than lead acid, nicad, etc. Hard to go badly wrong for $50, I see them going for 2x that all the time.
