Chevy 63's on a 1st gen 4runner

I have been contemplating about what to do to the rear suspension of my 4runner. I have budbuilt spring hangers and other goodies to do the chevy 63" leafspring swap. One of my concerns are, if i do the swap in the rear, i will need to do something about the front to even it out. I have explored the ball joint spacer option, but everywhere i look, the reviews differ from the previous places i have read.

The pros of the swap:
Great ride with the longer springs
Good articulation/travel with the swap
Spring come from 1/2 ton trucks, and should handle the weight i add easily

Your input?

How much lift did younexperience? What spring count are you running, how long shackles?

They do ride much better imo. Not sure how much lift I gained. I have tried to keep it as low as I can. Will look tomorrow to see how many leaves are in the pack and shackle length...

I did 63s on my off road toy to replace the 4" block lift that it had on it. It was pretty even as I remember, I did make some extra long shackles and chopped the overloads to be used as spacers.

Have you researched changing or somehow messing with the torsion bars in the front? I think you can get aftermarket ones that get you a few inches of lift. I know a lot of guys do that mod to gain some lift up front.

I had browsed 63" faq's over at pirate a few times and hadn't really seen what i was looking for untill yesterday. I found where one person had gotten too much lift from the swap, so they moved the hanger from the bottom of the frame and located in the middle of the rear frame. By doing this, he moved the mounting point up 3" and lowered the rear 1.75".
