I was able to fit 265/75r16 tires on 16x8 wheels with 0 offset and no lift.
Full disclosure: this required trimming, bending sheet metal and an extreme body mount chop. I have zero rub at full lock and stuffed.
The stock wheels are only 6.5 inches wide which will make sidewalls of 265 and wider tires unhappy and unsafe. For this reason I went with wider wheels.
FWIW my wheel and tire set up will require a 2 inch lift without doing all the above mentioned modifications.
I would plan on a 5 inch lift to fit any tire approaching 34 inches tall. Of course keep in mind the specific dimentions of your tire, the tires requirements for rim width and the offset / back spacing of the specific rim you choose. Be sure to use the appropriate weight rated tire.
You can get away with 265/75r16 tires on stock gearing with no significant change in drivability. I would strongly consider regearing for 34 inch tall tires.
