Good afternoon to this fine group. First post but have been lurking for awhile now. Have been on multiple trips whit some of the more hard core Expedition groups and have found the love of a RTT. I have been given lots of ideas but would like to hear some ideas form this group. I plan on putting a 23Zero RRT on my Chevy Silverado above the cab due to the fact i will have rod racks and a box over the bed of the truck on the camper. Also i feel that the cab might be better as far as supporting weight. So my question is how to do it.
1. Roof top bars ( rino, Yack, thule) and mount the tent to this?
2. Rack( Frontrunner) more $
3. Open to ideas.
Thanks so much
Zac

There are some bars like yakima and Thule that are removable you could use. I haven't seen much in the way of mounting a rack on the cab without drilling fresh holes.

I'm not sure what front runner offers cab wise. Me personally have a ARE hd series cap rated 550lbs, Leer also makes a hd style cap rated at 450lbs. I plan on putting a frontrunner on my cap then the tent.
