circle in the south on G650GS

I left Dallas Saturday headed to Nashville on my GS.
I stopped in Brinkley, AR Saturday night. I pulled over to get a drink and saw a hotel with free WiFi for $29/night. I figured that was a good place to call it a day.

Today I headed out and rode I40 through Memphis then turned south on hwy222 down to hwy100. I rode hwy 100 into Nashville. It was a nice ride although some of it was in the rain.

I snapped a few pics:

the second is a nice flatbed toyota on a used lot, $4995 on the window, I have a pic of the lot name and number if anyone is interested
the 3rd and 4th pic are of a sweet looking Jeep FC, more pics of it too.

I'll be in Nashville most of the week staying with my brother-in-law (We are looking at possibly relocating to Nashville, so if you know of jobs...), then I'm riding the Natchez Trace down through Alabama, Mississippi, and into Louisiana. I'll spend a day there visiting my folks, then back to TX to the wife and kiddo.

The Natchez Trace is a great drive. There are so many things to stop and check out along the way.

Sounds like a long and probably boring ride on I-40-the Trace should be much better on the way back.

Good luck with the job hunt, Nashville seems like a nice but busy place. I get there several times a year on business-a lot of nice country right out of the city.

Please be careful at the cheapo hotel's-you stand a better than average chance of getting robbed, caught in the cross fire or worse in places like that, I've some friends that had one too many close calls.

How do you like the G650GS? Any problems to report?

I had a 2003 F650GS Dakar. Should have kept it. It is reports like this that makes me really miss it.

I'm back in TX safe and sound.
I had zero problems and rode just over 2000 miles in a the week.
I hit TX, AR, TN, KY, AL, MS, and LA
What a wonderful bike and trip. Now I'm just looking for time off to do another trip!!
