Bio-diesel 4x4 Toyota truck Camper - $4800 (Los Angeles)

"Toyota 85 4x4 canadian registered truck works on regular diesel and bio diesel. Flat bed 8ftx6ft with a removal pop up top camper on it. 2 banks bed, stove, sink, water tank, 110 and 12 v lights and storage cubboards. New diesel tank, starter, alternator, 2 batteries. Rebuilt frame, new suspension. Engine was changed with a second hand imported from Japan. 60.000 miles, new clutch, new injection and water pump. Good tires, glow plugs and breaks, no rust but could use a paint job. Luggage rack with tool box on top of the cabin. 4800$"

Of course if it's a Canadian reg it will have to be inspected at a US port of entry, and will be subject to US EPA and DOT requirements.

It's not over 21 years of age (for any vehicle), and was clearly not built before 1977 (for light diesel trucks), so it must be proven that the truck is a "US Version" vehicle.

If not...well, that would be too bad.

Or since it is already here, you put the powertrain in an 85 4runner with a blown engine.......

This isn't bad at all in this case. As Toyota imported Turbo Diesel Trucks into the US in 1985. So it is basically already a US spec'd truck. I bet it even has all the stickers on the fender well.

I'm confused:

2010 - 1985 = 25 years old.

Therefore, the EPA/DOT requirements don't apply, just like other toys (Mogs, etc) of the same age.
