CL "Rare German Converted Fire Truck 4x4 7k/OBO" WHO GOT IT?!

So I saw this pop up on Sat. on the Seattle CL. 1990 Mercedes 310D 4x4 ex-German Fire Truck. Obereigner conversion. It had been in an accident and had driver's front bumper/corner damage, and passenger rear corner damage. Something was wrong with the front axle/driveshaft due to the accident. They'd converted the inside and were asking 7k OBO. I emailed them, but it's gone. Must've sold SUPER QUICK!

I saved a couple pics. Would've posted here earlier, but didn't want to out anyone in the process of buying. Super cool rig, seems the main downside is the ~55mph top speed...

Was it diesel? Most of the german fire trucks like this seem to be gasoline...

Yes. I also saw this browsing around. If the buyer doesnt ming doing some work. Seems like a fun quirky rig.

I owned a 409d in the USA. Top speed is a problem on interstate highways. Generally underpowered based on US standards.
