Clean vintage Tacoma

Its funny to use the term vintage with Tacoma, but I saw this on ebay and I even momentarily thought about selling my 03 double cab and going for it. I have 19 hours to decide;)

My first Tacoma was a 95.5 year model, SR5 Automatic with all power and the sunroof. Like an idiot, I traded it in for a brand new 4x4 Dodge because....because I was an idiot.

I clicked on the listing for what it was "sniped" for and it went for $11,455 the first time.

I am not sure if these are OBDII or not, and I know these didn't have an E-locker.

Why would you want to replace an 03 doublecab with this one?

Bedspace and 5spd would be the two main reasons. I love my double cab, but those are two things that I find myself wanting or needing often.

they are OBDII. All taco's 95.5 and up.

Holy cow, that is one expensive truck. It better still have the nipples on the original tires and original new car smell. I sold an excellent condition 95.5 extracab SR5 for $5500 earlier this year and felt ok about it- could have gotten another 1K if i wanted to put in the time.

Keep your DC

Holy crap. That's nice. I'd say if you don't need 4 doors, go for it. I'm looking for the same right now (reg/acc cab, 5 speed), but not ready to spend that much.

Suspect to me..

all those great pictures and nothing showing the frame and undercarriage.. Rust on these trucks are a huge issue.

Well, I guess one question would be- how often will you be wishing you had the extra cab space and an auto trans? At any rate, $12k is a bit steep for my taste. I didn't spend that much on my '03 DC. I seldom make good decisions in under a 24 hour period, but maybe that's just me. :)

That is a nice looking old Tacoma. It takes me back to my days in college when they were a new model and I wanted one realllly bad.

I don't dig that visor over the front window though... and the sale price is surprising.

I'd trade my '05 for a clean low mileage older Taco. I just don't feel any real attachment to my newer truck and aside from the frame rust issues I think the older ones were built better.
