The Moab, Canyonlands area gets its fair share of use. Some would even say--overused! We had a few days to play, so we tried to find some more quiet, peaceful areas of the Moab, Canyonlands area. We did...The view were breathtaking! The LaSals were covered in snow and the desert was aglow.
We have always wanted to see this freshwater geyser but never made the turn. We didn't see it erupt, but were teased!

We then made the turn south to see some old mining ruins. I am not sure what they were mining for but it didn't look like a great deal of fun!

We found some breathtaking scenery and an arch for me to refresh my rock climbing skills. I need more practice!

We setup camp and enjoyed Magic Hour. Right before sunset, the desert was on fire! It was fun to look in all directions and see greens, reds, browns, pinks, whites, and blues.

As we walked back to camp, my daughter Lilly realized that the big truck was broken. Luckily she had tools and went right to work. Really...for an hour...She was engaged and confident that she could find and fix the issue! She discovered the issue being not enough sand in the tow hitch. She fixed it...some is still in there

The following day, we took a stroll towards Arches. We could see the Arches highway...As the crows flies, 4 miles tops. By road, 50 miles easy...It was nice to feel the warmth of the sun and the softness of the sand.

The canyons there didn't seem small either! We saw signs of the past covering the canyon rim. Flint chips...

More to come...
