CM 3/4" shackles - US made 7 ton WLL - on sale

I lucked into this today when I called Grainger so I thought I would share this great deal.

THESE are on sale for $18.50 a piece if you call in to Grainger to order. I purchased some to replace the Chinese shackles that came with my Viking recovery kit.

Notice that the WLL of CM's Alloy 3/4" shackle is 7 tons as opposed to most 3/4" shackles rated at 4.75 tons WLL (CM has a Carbon 3/4" shackle that is rated at 4.75). CM is commonly named as one of the few brands of shackles that are truly trustworthy.

If you call reference the Grainger Item # 4JYY4 - the Mfr. Model # is M652A

Wow, I was literally just sitting here trying to find either Crosby or CM shackles. how long is that sale for and is it only a call in order deal?

Yes you need to call in, I'm not sure how long they are on sale, I'm surprised it's still going on.

Also note that these are bare metal, I'm not worried about it because I keep them in my recovery bag. For the price it's easy enough to paint them if needed.

I just called Grainger and the posted web clearance price is $35.15, the lowest they would go on the phone call is $32.00. Where did you call to get them for $18.50? And how many did you have to buy to get that price?

I tried to call the Albuquerque location to check on actual stock but all calls are forwarded to a call center. The person I spoke to about shackles told me they were on sale.

I bought 4 but the price was the same for 1.

I guess the secret sale is over....
