CNC Plasma Cutter. Whatever you want.

SOAZ

Tim and Kelsey get lost..
This isn't a business, just a little fun with an expensive toy to make a couple extra bucks and see what sort of fun stuff we can make for expo folks! :ylsmoke:

A friend and I have bought a CNC Plasma cutter.
We can cut anything you want up to .75 inch thick steel.

So far we've been doing all sorts of odd jobs from tabs to boxed a-arms.

Let me know what you want cut and I'll draw it up in our program and get it cut out. You can send me a sketch or design to work off of.

Some things we've cut so far are clocks with shop logos, shackle mounts, license plates for the front of vehicles with logo's or saying's on them, amp holders for autos, wind deflector for a roof top tent. :peepwall:

Basically anything you can think of that's plate.

Also, unless budbuilt comes out with one soon, I've started working on a gas tank skid plate for our third generation 4runners. 3/16 steel.

So, what sort of cool things do you need? :safari-rig:

Here are some ideas:

-Low profile gutter mount roof rack towers/feet
-Non-gutter roof rack towers/feet (100 series LC)
-Fuel can holders
-Cool beer top openers

Do you take dxf files? I assume you're using a torchmate setup.

Sure, send me the dimensions and specs. :victory:

I will work on the beer openers because everyone loves those. What would you want it to look like?

These are .PCM files. If you can get me the dimensions of the above items I'll convert it into the program we use.

Whatcha doing here, a whole new plate or a way to beef up the stock? I'd like to beef up my gas tank skid and so I'm interested in this.

I need fuel can holders as well ....... can you make it happen ?

I can cut all of the required pieces out and bend them if the material is thin enough with our brake. If there are lots of parts I would be happy to do all of the cnc cutting parts.

If someone wants to give me a can to use that would help. I use scepters so I don't know if other cans are very different or not. What say yall? Different cans similar is size or all different?

ATTN: Vendors

SOAZ is working with the board to be set up as a vendor, so we are allowing this thread to continue.

So, Tim....

What are your capabilities at this point?

How big of a piece can your CNC handle (full sheet? - 4' x 8')

How big is your brake? How long of a bend can you make, and how thick of material can you bend? What radii can you bend at?

What other equipment do you have? Perhaps a dimple die set? I really need a 2" dimpled hole punched in a piece of 11ga mild steel.....

I have a couple little things that I would like done on the CNC to cut down my clean up time. I'll be in touch.....

tim, i'd like to get some plate cut so i can make a bumper sorta like the style that bentup or shrockworks does, i have my own design idea but it'll be that style.

48 inches by 48 inches is the max size. We have done a couple of items larger by cutting part of the object and then moving the sheet.
Let me check on what the max thickness the brake can handle.

We have dimple dies. Let me know the specs of the sheet. If you want to email it over I can go off a napkin drawing or word doc etc. As long as the measurements are provided. :26_7_2:

Sounds good. We'll figure it out. If you want to save a couple bucks and weld it yourself since you're able to, that would work. :)

Actually, the plate is already welded to the bike....I would need to pull off the side stand support, have the hole knocked in it, then re-assemble the bike.

How big of a reach do you have with the press you are using? You would only need to clear about 4" in from the edge (to the center of the hole), and would need to get over the top of a 1" tube (framework that the 11ga is welded to).

I am in desperate need of a replacement for my front crossmember on my 01 Tacoma. The part where the factory skid plate bolts up just in front of the radiator. Mine was damaged in a minor accident and then removed entirely when I had a aftermarket front bumper installed.

If this sounds like something you can do I can send some pics and measurements your way ASAP. I am currently sans skidplate since I have no where to bolt up the front 3 bolts on my Budbuilt skid. Makes me a little nervous to say the least.

As a side note: some rear lower shock mounts that were 1 piece and provided some protection to the lower shock mount would be awsome as well. I'd personally prefer them to mount even with the bottom of the axle tube.

Thanks

Vince
