Completed My First "Rally Race", Took 3rd and got some great pics!!!

Ok, the title is a "tad" embellishing!

A friend of mines pops is the president of the "Early Ford V8 Club" http://www.efv8.org/site/index.php

Each year they hold a scavenger hunt/rally fun race/drive through Coronado Island in San Diego (where most of the members live).

This year i was invited along as a navigator for my friend Mike (son of the pres).

We changed things up a bit and used his moms 1949 Renault instead of an old Ford V8, but had a blast nonetheless.

Great people, amazing cars, tons of fun! Here are some pics!

Yeah, just a tad. We were supposed to drive the "Woody" but his dad had some folks show up last minute that needed a ride so they drove that and we drove "Lil Black" :smiley_drive:

We tried to argue that since we were 5 cylinders shy of everyone else we shoulda got a handicap, but everyone was too busy laughing at me trying to get in and out of the car! :ylsmoke:

FYI: "Lil Black" is a 3 cylinder rear engine car! (note the cool suicide doors that incorporate the fender as part of the door!)

I looked at the picture and thought for sure you would still be stuck in that car! Not much legroom....
