Condensation in auxiliary lights

A pair of Hella Rallye 1000 lights came with my vehicle and I notice there is a bit of condensation inside the lenses. I did a Google search but didn't find any useful info. There aren't any water droplets - just a slight fogging. Is this normal? Will it cause any damage? I believe they aren't totally sealed to allow for heat release, so my guess is that this isn't cause for concern, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

If they're not 100% sealed, then it's normal and will dry up within a couple minutes of turning them on. If they are sealed, then it's time to pull them apart, clean / dry them out and re-seal them.

They're tied in to the hi-beams, so they've never been on for long enough for me to see if they dry out (on-road use so far). I may just pull them tomorrow and see if I can disassemble for cleaning.

Exceptional forum for gleaning some very "in depth" knowledge of automotive lighting. I'd caution you to prepare yourself before just jumping in to forum participation. While their credentials and subject matter knowledge is unquestioned, they've become quite calloused to the casual, uninformed individual who may ask questions beyond his/her level of knowledge. Scheinwerfermann/Virgil and occasionally AD are pretty quick to split hairs but their advice is in there somewhere and is always sound. As I said, there's probably no better source of subject knowledge available to industry outsiders but a flak jacket may be in order should you misuse terminology, mention HID conversion (understandable in this case) or ask if rules of physics can be bent.

Good advice....
