So you have this mounted on the Unlimmited? Other posters have them on TJ with out problems, i would have thought the longer length of the LJ would have made it more stable, What basket do you have installed on it? I woulder if the way the basket mounts up would add to the ridgedness of it.

I to am thinking of getting one of these for my LJ so I will be watching this to see how it turns out for you.

I use the Cargo Master on my 05 LJ with about 300 lbs. ( RTT, supplies, tools)
it does shake a little but its never shown any bends or cracks.
I switched the rear brackets around and used #8 bolts to attached them. Here are some pic.

What size basket do you use with the RTT installed?

Ok I see what you did, I was thinking that there was two seperate mounts one for the basket and one for the RTT

Yeah the rack from the ATV ramp worked out perfect. I've walked around on it plenty with the RTT no flexing.

here's what i've been told...

the rack is supposed to flex.

you can take out the pucks but it will vibrate.

4wparts looked at it and said, yup, thats how much its supposed to move

they're a good bunch of guys, so i guess i believe them. but its just not acceptable to me.

I'm not going to load this up and have it fail way out in BFE with a full load of gear, even though its probably fine...lol.

so, its coming off. rack/congocage, all of it. just going to store it and resell it.

might save up for a wilderness overhead or rear swingaway rack...

so look for it in the for sale section. i've been told by several people that there's nothing wrong with it, so feel free to come check it out and get a great deal on one.

The problem is you don't weld one your self with a lot of attach pts the rack will always move. I've thought about reenforcing mine with a connection just behind the door between the rack and rock guard.
