Considering a series 1

Congrats on the purchase. I would love to take a drive in a Series I someday.

We recently met a lady who liked our Dormobile and went on and on about how much she loved her Series I. About 10 minutes into the conversation we figured out she owned a Series I Discovery. Sigh.

Thanks! I seem to be going backwards in time.

My first rover was a 2005 TD5 D110.
Next was a 1993 200tdi 110
Now a Series One...

Maybe subconsciously I am looking for the mechanically simplest machine to work on.

Going backwards in time is not always a bad thing especially in this case.... With all the LRs I owned so far e.g. 2004 DII... my 1990 Defender 110 w/200 tdi has been the least problematic and simplest to repair.
