Converting Conventional 24F to 27F Optima Yellowtop

I kinda asked this on the Toyota forum also. My "03 Tundra came with a 24F battery, but I know the Sequoia and later vehicles could be had with a 27F. This seems like a really easy upgrade, especially now that my heretonow reliable Diehard Gold is five years old and spewing corrosion. Optima makes a yellow top 27F that seems like the perfect solution for me. I want to avoid a dual battery setup. Has anyone upgraded to the 27F, and if so, how did you do it? The 27F will not fit in the battery tray I have now, but it seems with the right tray, it would fit just right. Also, does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the Optima yellow tops? The Diehard platinum isn't an option in this size.

I agree the DH Platinum is not an option. Odyssey DOES make one that fits in my 2003 Sequoia. I did have to trim the bottom battery tray to remove one lip at one end.
I am not near the Sequoia at the moment, IIRC, PC1700 LMJT. Look at the Odyssey site. The corect size has two options with terminals reversed, so choose carefully. The factory upper bracket had to be shimmed to tighten the battery case down.

All the corrosion has disappeared. First Odyssey lasted 7 years, and was mistreated by me. With no hesitation, i put another Odyssey in

Thanks for the info, I'll check into that. Do you remember if your Sequoia came with a 24r or a 27r? Wow, just checked the price $350+. It's pretty cool that they have a reverse post option. I have to decide if I want to drop that many bones.
