This thing is sick. Pretty sure it's a scam as haven points out below, but it's really sweet. Anyone know anything about who makes a box like that? Not anyone in the US that I can think of. That 3 seat bench that folds into a bed is an awesome set up.

I think it's a scam. Here's the same vehicle for sale by Outback Imports in Vancouver BC. They want a lot more than $12K for it.

From the photos, the Cruiser is right hand drive and the camper appears to be made in Japan.

I sent email to the address provided by Craigslist. I asked to see the vehicle. We'll see what response I get.

Thanks for the link to the original. I was really more interested in seeing more pictures of that thing. Pretty amazing. I cry every time I see something like this not for sale in the US.

Haven, I like that they take Outback Imports advertises that they take credit cards. I'll just put one of these $42k beasts on my visa for Christmas and call it good.

We definitely get shorted here in the U.S. in regards to the diesel engines in various vehicles. Which breeds getting shorted in regards to specialized camper builders like the one pictured. The campers just aren't as desirable on gasoline burning platforms.

Put that camper on a diesel engined Land Cruiser and make it available for sale here and they would sell. But nooooo...

Super neat camper, thanks for posting. And, something else to ponder... the GVWR has most likely been exceeded as it was originally from the manufacturer. Not that it's a big deal, things like that are regularly 'fudged' when it comes to building things like this. But it is obviously heavy with a high CG, wonder what suspension mods have been done to it.

yes its locted in BC. I have seen it up close. I highly doubt it would sell well in the US. It was made for short Japanese people and really excels at nothing. Its a cool concept but is pretty useless except for gravel roads and there are better rigs for that.
