Some of you may have read my report from the last weekend where my girlfriend and I did a day trip to Lower Coyote Canyon.
http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23794

This was an actual camp overnight trip with some friends. My girlfriend and one of my best friend's fiancé both got 2006 Jeep Wranglers and wanted to test them out. When I planned this trip, I wrote in the email that it was mandatory for the ladies to drive the trail. A lot of you that have been there know it's not a very challenging trail so I was comfortable with having them try it out. I had a friend reply to my email last minute and he was able to make it just for the day (Saturday) in the FJ Cruiser.

Anyway, I'll get on with the pics and video.

She just got the 31" ATs Thursday before we left and is absolutely hooked!

She was horrified, but stayed strong the whole way up.

I also took my scale RC trucks with me. I was driving my bronco and my buddies were driving the FJ40.

We saw a big group of Rovers on their way out, but this Series was the coolest of them all. :)

We all had a great time, and the ladies did really well! Shawna (silver Jeep owner) said, "Colin, we need to do this more often!" Which I said, "I do this as often as I can and have been for 18 years!" :D

Hope you enjoyed the pics and vids as much as we did making them.

Here is the link to the rest of the pictures. - http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x75/HB_Tiki/Coyote Canyon/?start=all

I used to love this run when I lived in the area. I spent a great New Years up at the palms with my brother, his girlfriend, and my now wife. Thanks for the photos....

Awsome shots comming out of the water. How deep was it, last year it was around 28". I am thinking about going out to Bailys Cabin on the north end comming down fron Anza. If I do I will post it and see who would like to go.

Sunny's Jeep has 35s on it and it was just about half way up them at the deepest spot. It's definitely not at 28" deep though. If we are available for your trip, I'm sure we would be interested.

Man I was there that same weekend, and I too popped a buddies cherry, he has a 2008 2wd tacoma and insisted on braving the rocky part after the water, sure enough he made it without any help from me. As we were coming back through the water when we came out there was a guy watching us coming out with his thumbs up saying "man that should be a toyota commercial" made me think, it sure would top the commercial of the tundra doing that ridiculous stunt on the cliff that no one can relate too...at least this is real. anyway good times wish the trail was open to go all the way to ANza
