Coyote Flats Funnel Lake Trip Report

Back in June some friends and I took a trip to the High Sierra's, 10,000 feet above Bishop.
I have not posted any pictures as yet, I've been trying to find the best venue. I've experimented with several Blog hosting sites and finally settled on one. You can view my trip report at: http://phils-treks-and-trips.blogspot.com

Here are a couple of teaser pictures:

I enjoyed your travelog. You camped at exactly the same place we did in 1970. We're planning a trip there and on to Baker Creek in a couple weeks during our Eastern Sierra Flank Mad Dog Run: five or six of the hard-core venues on the Ser Nev Eastern flank. The twist is: all in truck campers. One hard side and one soft side. I've been to the area many times but always in various Jeeps, Scouts, or Land Cruisers.
So, my question is: how was the clearance (of brush and low growing willows) on some of those tight creek crossings? I have not been up there since about 1990. I'm thinking I want to take my extendable branch saw if things really are too tight for a 10' tall, 10,000 pound rig to pass at those water crossings. Yes, we're prepared for snow. Here's a pic of one of the rigs:
