CRAIGSLIST SCORES: Let's See What You Got!!!

I am always trying to upgrade my Montero, but on the cheap when possible. I think most of you are doing the same. I scour Craigslist almost everyday looking for something I may "need". Sometimes I get lucky and find a part I can adapt, like my front bumper.

I was thinking it might be cool to see everyone's Craigslist scores, how cheap they got them for and what they plan to do with them.

Last night I was wandering around Craigslist looking for stuff in the Santa Rosa area (about an hour or so from my house) because I was going to be up there today. For whatever reason I typed in sliders and these came up. They are too long to use as is, but I'll just cut one end off of each one just after the last cross piece, make mounts and voila! I'd been putting off building my own because of the cost of the steel.

Just $80!! The steel would have cost me more than that! The construction is very nice too.

Bought my Montero on CL last week. It was on there for a solid 2 days before i scooped it up. In typical CL fashion, there was supposed to be another buyer - but that person never showed up to buy the car.

I even bought my tires from CL a few days ago. I was dead set on ordering them from Amazon (free shipping + no tax), but just for ******ts and giggles - I typed in the tire name on CL and found some dude with mountains of new tires behind a old strip mall - he beat Amazon's price by a decent margin and offered to install them for $40

The worst experience i've had on CL was someone not showing up once to buy a MTB- every other time it's been great.
