That Chinook looks like it´s in good condition. I had one about 5 years ago, it was a fun rig. I sold it for about $3k.

The 1973 Hilux had a pretty solid frame design... instead of a chassis swap, I´d suggest doing a solid axle swap to it. An old 4WD chassis will need about 3/4 of the items in the kit anyhow.

Regarding engine, a Tacoma 3RZ swap would be perfect for such a light rig.

There are lots of possibilities with a rig like that for such a low price.

Yes, but it would be easier to SAS the existing truck.

I keep looking for one of these locally, and somehow the only ones I see are already in the junkyard Saw one yesterday afternoon in the local u-pull it with the forks stuck through the side of it :ar15:
