Cruise Moab- Who's Going?

I will be there with the EW Taco and the ARB Taco, leaving with the ARB FJ too :jumping: Chris (BajaTaco) will be piloting a truck on the way up.

I will be in the Equipt booth on Wed. night and will be camping in spot 70 or 71 at the SlickRock Campground. :camping:

You have to register to run the trails with the groups. You might be able to get a spot in the official campground (Slickrock on the far south of town). You could theoretically just show up and drive the trails as a pirate, but that's sort of frowned upon. It's unlikely that a trail leader would leave you stranded if you had major trouble. But just the same, they probably won't spot or strap you through the obstacles, either. I've been there during CM and not been a registered attendee, but I've mostly just ridden my bike and hung out with people I know. You can't get into the raffle and dinner on Saturday night without being registered.

We will be rolling in on Tuesday, should have camped, but we're going to rough it in the Archway Inn. We will most likely be found having sundowners near a BIG BLUE 100 series!!!! Did I say BIG!!!! :friday:

We are signed up however I chose not to get any trail assignments, we usually get a group together and go have fun. Just because it's Cruise Moab doesn't mean the rest of the world can't be there... and I'm not trying to offend anyone...

I hope to see a lot of you there.

Where were we last year? I thought it was called Slickrock. Man, my brain is mush. Is Slickrock the one at 128 and 191, near the Moab Valley RV Park, then?

No problem.. In all years I've gone, except last year, it's been at Slickrock which is much bigger and better IMO. Lots of cottonwoods, so watch out, and don't hang out near Luke Porter with a lighter as the cottonwood has a little tint of quick flammability to it..

It is on the North side. As coming in from I-70, cross the Colorado into Moab.. It's about a mile or two on the right before town. So if you are coming from town (the opposite direction) it will be on the left, it will Has a large triangle-shaped sign reading "Slickrock CampGround." Last year was at "Spanish Trails" Campground, much smaller, on the far south side a few miles (5ish I think) outside of town... I guess that one year away was enough to make Christo and some others who hate the cottonwood want to come back... It really is a nice campground IMO...

Yeah, that's it. I know the Slickrock, that's where we've been in years before. I was getting Spanish Trail mixed up, since that was the campground that was pictured in my head. Been a long week.
