Custom built bumper

Hello Gents! I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Montero with 153k, original owner (me).

I am interested in building a simple but sturdy front and rear bumper, box steel, and keeping tubing to a minimum.

Anyone out there done this before with their Montero? Any pics and dimensions? Would love to mock up a cardboard model.
