custom entry door

Hi all new guy here. My project is a bit different from what you guys are donig as its on road only. My problem is an entry door. I need one roughly 4' tall. Final size has not been determined yet. I am open to any suggestions you may have.

Making a sleeper for my pickup. Like I said different. Can't use a normal rv door because its not going to be that tall. Probably going to be 2" square tube steel skinned with FRP and foamed between tubes. Would love to use Nidacore instead because then I could ditch most of the tube structure except for mounts but awfully hard to find in full 4x8 sheets.

Cool idea! I've seen a couple custom pick up sleepers, they are just plain cool!

Have you looked into topper doors at all? Some of the nicer ones have a full size flip open 'hatch' that has a door in the middle of it.

Those doors in the middle are only about 4' tall, if that.

Not sure where a guy might find wrecked toppers/campers to get parts from though.

Look for old fridge/insulated semi trailer or rigid bodies as they sometimes have access doors for multidrop deliveries . (well they do in Uk ) HTSH

Sounds to me like you want a door designed to be used for a tear-drop trailer. :ylsmoke:
