Hi all, I am offering my expedition trailer for sale. I am selling it because I have returned to school and I'm not going to be able to get any use out of it for quite some time. I'd rather see it go to someone who will take it out and enjoy the outdoors, than just sitting in my yard. It is a home built trailer. Don't let that dissuade you, it's built tougher than any mass-produced camper out there. It has been fully registered and has a VIN number.
It is located in just outside of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. For our American friends, I would be happy to help arrange shipping - normally I'd be fine with just delivering it but I don't think I'll be able to with the current corona situation lol. Anyway, here's some info:
Total Weight: 1250lbs
Hitch Weight: 308lbs
Length: 12ft (ish)
-Custom frame built with 2"x3" steel, 3/16" thickness (I welded the frame from scratch. It is fully painted)
-3500lb suspension with solid axle. Bolt pattern is 5x4.5 which is the same as most jeep wheels
-Camper part is all wood framing, fully insulated with 1.5" foam
-45 degree departure angle
-Exterior is 3/4" plywood - basically hail proof. Very strong, I was planning on adding a rooftop tent
-Exterior has 4 coats of sealant and is painted with rhino-liner (undercoated on the bottom)
-Kitchen in the back has a drawer for stove, sink with a drain, cabinets, and some other storage
-Interior has a fantastic fan with 3 speeds and is reversible
-There is an interior light, and 2 switches on the inside, for interior and exterior light. Speakers are wired but there is no deck yet
-Blackout shades
-Built to fit a "full" size bed perfectly. I am 6'2" and I sleep fine in there. Can include the mattress if you want, but I just have a cheap one in there currently
-No flooring in interior because the bed takes up the whole area
-100W rooftop solar panel, with charge controller. This is enough to run the whole trailer comfortably
-Front panel is for storage and electronics
-Chilly moose fridge/freezer which works AWESOME. Set up on rollers so it pulls out. Runs off solar but you could remove it and run off 120V as well
I'm sure I'm forgetting some things so feel free to ask any questions. Price is somewhat flexible but I'm not making any profit off this, just getting my parts money back. This trailer would be ideal for someone who wants to have some options to customize their trailer, without having to fully build one from scratch. I also have a lot more photos. Asking $7900CAD or $6000USD
