Custom Splice?

Has anyone had any difficulties ordering from Custom Splice lately?

A little over a year ago I had them make a short custom line for use with the winch to raise the top on my Kimberley Karavan; and they did a very nice job.

Due to a ragged edge in the karavan fraying the line, I need a replacement. I emailed and they had me send a photo of what they had done previously. Since then, I can no longer get them to respond to emails. I finally called and spoke to Todd, who claimed that he had sent the new line; and he told me to contact him if I did not receive it in a few days. Since it never came, I sent another email. No response and no replacement line.

Anyone else have problems with them?

Can someone suggest another supplier? TIA.

Just received an email from Todd as a result of this thread. He says that the line he sent came back because the Post Office didn't like the address. He's sending it out again by UPS. Will update when I receive it.

Unless he gave you tracking #'s it sounds like nonsense.

A line was finally delivered. Unfortunately, it is nothing like they made for me a year ago of which I sent him a photo. I can't use it; and have asked if he wants me to return it. I guess I'll have to see if I can find a local source.

Sadly, it appears that they don't pay attention to details in a request to make a line. Disappointing.

Maybe try Steve at Southeast Overland. I've heard nothing but good things about him/them.

A replacement, made as it should have been, just showed up on UPS about 10 minutes ago. Thanks Todd.
