I am regrettably selling a brand new CVT Black Butte Ground Tent, never been used.
A bit of a story here: I purchased a used Black Butte tent a year ago, and took it out camping several times, and loved it. However, my wife did not, and with a new addition to the family on the way this summer, she has decided it is time for a larger tent.
The reason this tent is brand new is that the used one I purchased leaked on me once last summer. I emailed CVT about a solution and they told me "yes, we have a solution, what is your address?" I thought they would send me some material treatment or waterproofing spray. Instead, 5 days later, a brand new tent showed up on my door step, with a return label to send the old tent back. Needless to say, I was VERY impressed with CVT's customer service.
This tent really takes about 1 minute to set up, a few more to get the guy lines tied out. I loved that part of it. It also will zip into CVT's vehicle awning.
One downside is that the tent is very large when stored. I cannot fit it inside my 4runner, so I carried it on my roof rack, which was quite convenient. It comes in a nearly waterproof storage bag. I say nearly because it has a zipper. It is made out of the same material as my dry bags. However, I just put the zipper facing down when I strapped it on, and never had any water in it, though I only drove it in a mild rain storm. I'm not sure how it would do in a torrential downpour, or if it sat in standing water (say in a truck bed).
I'm asking $300. The tent is in Denver, CO, so if you are reasonably local, we can meet up somewhere. If not, I can ship, but it is a large package, so it would probably be in the 75-100 dollar range (guestimating there).
