D2 fridge socket mod

If you have an Engel fridge in your D2 you can easily swap out the rear power socket to a Engel type. Cut the black mounting bracket down so you have a flat cover plate just wide enough to slip into the the plastic housing. Drill out the threads in the socket tabs and use a couple of machine screws to bolt it all together. Just like this.....

With the power cable connected you have a secure & quite flush install.

What gauge wire did you make you hot lead with? Mine keeps dropping to low on power and im trying to decide if my battery is getting bad or the wire i used can't move the power with out the Rover running.

I only use 'thin wall' cable so it's 28/0.30mm, 2mm squared, rated at 25amps. Don't know what gauge that would be.... sorry
