D2 front recovery point design

What do you all think of this design for add on recovery points for a D2? I'd like to add something like this on until I get/make a front bumper. I will cut a hole on the other side of the bumper to have one on each side and then connect them with a bridle.

Thanks, David

If your going to go through that much work to make a recovery point I'd say just go ahead and make the bumper

I've decided to just trim the front bumper as below and add jate rings through the lower bumper bolts for the time being.

I have been thinking about trimming my front bumper as well but have heard there is a pretty noticeable drop in MPG when you loose that front air dam.

Looks good. Just make sure the hole is big enough to fit a shackle pin through it with a touch of extra room!!

I can say with confidence I've seen this be an issue in the past.

What, from 11mpg to 10mpg?

I have been getting a tracked 14 around town and just pulled 20+ on the highway and country roads around my highway. Don't want to loose that. Esspecially when one has to drive 650km round trip to get to decent trails in Ontario.

14-20? I'm guessing that's kms and not miles?

If you ever worry about mpg in these trucks it is evidence that you should have bought something else.
