Day trip to Sedona (Pic heavy)

My girlfriend and I take a trip to Sedon at least once a year for the last 3 years. Each time we find more to do and explore a little more. Last year I had my cherokee so we tackled some of the 4X4 trails. This year with only the Tundra I figured it would be better to avoid anything techanical.

We left Tucson at 4 am to make sure we had the full day to do what ever we wanted.

I know its nothing special but I have always wnated to drive all of Schnebly Hill Road. But every time we go its closed for snow or rain. This time we where able to go 4 miles up from the Sedona side.

parked the tundra to check out some snow melt that created some running water.

My heart always goes out to those less fortunate that must struggle daily in places like your next to last pic shows...(Yes, this is meant as sarcastic, and really, I don't ever care to have a place like that...)

(He moved it - it's the house in the pics a couple of posts down - nice pics GTA - whatcha shootin' those with??)

From there we headed down Baco O Beyond Rd to check out a truly epic hike up Cathedral Rock.

Cathedral hike is one of many steep climbs and some of the best views.

It is also one of the Vortexes.

sedona was having some sort of film festival so the city its self was packed and to be frank just a place I didn't want to be so we headed down to Cottonwood to grab lunch at a local place Old Town Café that had amazing sandwiches.

My name is Hunter so this parking place was perfect.

Nice Pictures... I want to see more of the house and the church... They were both really impressive.

Looks like somebody definitely has had the 'stagazing bug' bite 'em pretty bad!!

there is a wheelchair lift that puts you close to the observatory..I'd be reasonably impressed if this is someone who has done VERY well for themselves and uses the property so others can come by and "star gaze" - looks like they've set it up so anyone can make it to the observatory...

(I truly was being sarcastic with my post about this house earlier - I really do dig seeing people who have achieved stratospheric success give stratospherically too..)

My wife is from Sedona and everytime we go back to visit her family I get major exploring urges... but we enver get to drive out so I don't have my truck. I'm hoping to get her to agree to a little road trip in the next year, including Mojave as the stopiing point on each leg.
