Daytrip: Pancakes at the lake!

This isn't much of a trip report. Basically, I just took a few friends who are mostly new to this stuff (And some that aren't), to the lake. We parked on the end of a peninsula, made pancakes and cliff jumped from a small ledge into the water. I took them through some nice little articulation spots on the way out and back. Sometimes you've gotta get stuff done on a weekend, but you feel the need to play hooky too.
Solid half day.

Nice trip. It reminds me of being at Lake Powell a few years ago. OK, I've been to LP many times...
I haven't been there in a LONG time. A buddy we use to go with is making a trip next month so I think we're going to come along and beach camp off his boat. I love that place!

Tim I have sent a protest to our corp IT guys as for some reason your blog will not load on our hospital computers.....pure crap I say.

Oh well I still enjoy your blog on my phone and will look it over at home on the laptop.

Thanks for posting and I still need to get over to check out your awning and still the New Mexico route you just did

Those bastards! ;-)
This one is just a youtube link so hopefully that works at work. We're practicing doing more video so if these first few are painful to watch, I apologize in advance. Feedback like "More offroading, more talking, less this or that" really help me get an idea of how others see it so feel free to shoot me a message or comment on the vid.
Drop by anytime.
Have a good weekend! :sombrero:

Some good memories from Lake Powell. Set up sun shades using tarps and stacking all of the ice chests together in a pile in the shade and cover them with a sleeping bag in the daytime hours. Every night out skinny dipping with a bottle or 2 of champagne. The last night, burning the 2X2s we brought out to make the sun shades as we watched from the lake.

looks like a great location and lots of good times!
Thanks Andrew, it's nice to have places like this near home. (We did fill a few bags full of trash when we got there, but any place this easy to access I expect it)
