It has been a long haul and a great education but I have high hopes that I have finally given my death wobble problem a death certificate.
I install the final piece of repairs/upgrades today and give it a good test ride to confirm my belief.
Let' see my repairs have been so far:
1. Balance the tires
2. Alignment
3. Replace steering linkage
4. Replace steering box
5. Replace the Currie steering linkage joints on the tie rod and drag link
6. Replace both front u-joints
7. Replace both front ball joints
8. Replace both front hubs
9. Inspect and lube all control arm joints and replace 2 of the Johnnie Joints
10. Inspect and lube RE track arm
11. Upgrade front disk brakes (I noticed they were worn and were also "baked" from running too hot.)
12. Replace both front steering knuckles.
Yep, I think that should about do it....judging the $$$ and time spent, this has got to either be a love thing or an addiction. :Wow1::drool:
Here are a few pics of the parts replaced and the newer front end.
Thanks,
Fred
