Death Valley Nov 2012 in B&W. Day 4 (Last Day).

Eureka Dunes are very cool. The tallest dunes in California and appear to be partly created from ground-up lava if I'm not mistaken.
From Eureka Dunes past Crankshaft Crossing and down the valley to Scotty's Castle the road looks like it turns real gooey in the summer! Scotty's Castle was pretty unique, another eccentric (not on the scale of Hearst Castle) but pretty cool. A quick stop in Rhyolite and Beatty for fuel then back to the park to visit the 20-mule team Borax display which I enjoyed as it was one of my favorite TV shows growing up (in black and white too!). On down to Badwater to snap a picture of the salt polygons. The coyote was in dire straits. Looked plum worn out as he was wobbling down the road. That was my quick and dirty first trip to Death Valley and will definitely be going back.
Cheers,
Ken
