Denmark to Vietnam by Saab

Jalopnik.com has a pointer to another of those great adventure travel stories.

A couple from Sweden have driven a Saab 900 with Toppola camper on the roof all the way to Vietnam and back. The trip started in May 2005. The pair made lengthy stays in India and Thailand before returning to Europe in 2007.

The web pages make no mention of winches, high lift jacks or suspension mods. There is a lengthy list of repairs due to assorted accidents, flat tires, and worn out suspension pieces, plus one break-in while in Russia. Interesting stuff!

I can finally get rid of my Land Cruiser and focus all of my attention to getting my Saab ready for the back country!

I just hope that it does not interfere with my CD changer in the back.
