Did some scouting at my hunt club this morning with my son and a buddy. We tried to get an early start to beat the heat. Saw a pair of yearlings munching on blackberries. We had the wind and light in our favor and they never spotted us from about 50 yards away.
Got to explore a few roads with the Jeep. It's first time off road. It performed very well. There were some pretty deep rain ruts in spots and a few steep, slippery hills. It seemed to climb much easier than my full size Titan.
Here's a few pics:
Our parking spot.
A bad pic of the deer we saw:
A few old headstones way back in the woods. One was William Brewer - died 1849 at seventy something years old. Blind in his later years. A few other headstones along with this one. An awesome find.
