After a bit of advice please!

I'm hoping to do a year of travelling over in the States and Canada next year and am currently looking at which truck to bring with me from over here in England. I quite fancy a Wrangler and have my eye on a 2010 2.8 CRD. My Question is; are there parts available in the US and Canada for this engine as I know its not available in the wrangler in the US version.

It never was in the Wrangler in the US, it was the Liberty for just 2 or 3 years I think. I should think filters and maintenance items are available here but wouldn't count on any major engine parts being here.

thanks and my apologies! its actually a 2010 Rubicon 2.8 crd, if that makes a difference.......

The Liberty had the 2.8 for 2005 and 2006. It was not a Wrangler package like the Rubicon or Sahara names are, it was its own separate vehicle. I don't know if your 2010 Wrangler 2.8 engine is the same or not as the 05/06 Liberty motors. You might try AEV with your questions as they are in tight with Jeep and have done a 2.8 conversion in a Wrangler here. If anyone over here would know I am sure they would.

I have a CRD Liberty. I am pretty sure they are the same engine maybe with slight changes. You can get parts, there are some that are hard to get like turbos but there are enough Liberty's in the system do generate a demand.
